Gluten Free 15 Minute Chili

Gluten Free

Description

I love my crock pot! This recipe is so easy to make and it's great for busy afternoons with the kids and all of their extracurricular activities! I love knowing that a good gluten free, allergy free, dinner is ready and waiting when we get home. If you are vegan, simply omit the ground beef or ground turkey. This can be made meatless, easily!

  • Ingredients

    This makes a double batch

    3 - 8 oz. cans Bush's Chili Beans

1 - 16 oz. can of diced tomatoes

    1 onion

2lbs. ground beef or ground turkey. You can make it with less if you prefer or none at all for vegan

    1 Carroll Shelby's Chili Kit

(I prefer the Bush's beans and Carroll Shelby's Chili Kit because they are allergy friendly and gluten free. Many pre-mixed chili seasonings have wheat flour as a thickener - buyer beware)

  • Methods / Steps
Brown ground beef or turkey with diced onion. While browning, open the canned chili beans and canned tomatoes. Start heating crock-pot and add the canned goods to the crock pot to start to warm. Once meat is done, drain and add to beans. Add the chili mix. I like mine pretty mild, so I only use half the kit and save the other half for another time. Top with shredded cheese (omit if dairy free) and raw diced onions. Cook on low for up to 4 hours.
