Description

This less than 10 minute topping came to me as my bananas were starting to become too ripe. Can be made with butter or with cooking spray for a healthier choice. Choose a cooking spray and it becomes milk allergy friendly in addition to free of the top 8 allergens, including gluten free. Bananas Foster topping can be used in place of syrup to top pancakes, waffles, french toast or oatmeal. Use to top vanilla or rum raisin ice cream at dessert. Decadent, rich and allergen friendly. What more do you want?

  • Ingredients

    2-4 bananas (1 banana per person)

    1 tablespoon brown sugar

    1 tablespoon butter (substitute cooking spray for healthier option)

    1 box of raisins

    dash of cinnammon

  • Methods / Steps
    Thickly slice bananas and place in pan that is coated with melted butter or cooking spray (healthier option).
    Add brown sugar and raisins over top.
    Sprinkle cinnamon.
    Caramelize the mixture in the pan for approximately 5 minutes on medium to medium high heat.
    Don't over cook and careful not to burn.
    Top your favorite gluten free waffles, pancakes, french toast or oatmeal and serve hot.
