Description

 

While raw radishes have an assertive flavor, a cooked radish has an extremely mild, earthy flavor.  This dish is a lighter version of traditional home fries and is free of the 8 most common allergens. Be careful while adding salt to the dish as it easily takes on the flavor.

 

  • Ingredients

     

    1lb whole radishes

     

    1 Tbsp oil

     

    ¼ cup onion, chopped

     

    ½ tsp garlic powder

     

    ½ tsp crushed rosemary

     

    Salt and pepper, to taste

     

     

  • Methods / Steps
    1. Wash radishes the day before and allow to dry fully on paper towels
    2. Cut radishes into quarters
    3. Heat oil in large pan over medium heat
    4. Add radishes, garlic powder, and rosemary to pan and cook for about 10 minutes
    5. Add chopped onion and cook for an additional 10 minutes or until the radishes are brown
    6. Add in salt and pepper slowly before serving (this dish is easily over salted)
