Sweet Potato Fries

Description

Sweet potato fries! An easy recipe for a healthier version of the regular French fry. They're free of the top 8 most common allergens (soy, egg, wheat, milk, fish, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts), gluten-free, vegan, and organic.

  • Methods / Steps
    Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees F.
Wash sweet potato and completely dry it.
If you have a long sweet potato, cut it in half.
From there, you can make 1/2 inch thick slices, then slice again, so you end up with "steak cut" fries. You can cut them thinner, depending on your preference.
Toss in olive oil until each 'fry' is coated. Evenly place onto baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper or other seasonings. Make sure the fries are not touching, or they will be soggy.
Place fries into oven, bake for 8-10 minutes, flip fries, and place back into the oven for 8-10 minutes. They should be a lightly browned and crispy.
Notes: If fries are placed too close together they will become soggy. I place my fries on aluminum foil to help prevent them from burning.
